Manx Utilities has started the next phase of its smart meter upgrade with the focus now on domestic billed customers.

Manx Utilities has announced a reduction in the intended 6 pence per unit increase scheduled for 1 July 2023 to 2 pence per unit, due to the fall in wholesale energy prices.

Water Main replacement – Noble’s Park to Mona Drive

Manx Utilities is to progress a water main replacement from Noble's Park to Mona Drive as part of a phased plan to replace old water mains and increase the security of supply for customers.  This water main replacement will provide strategic support to water supplies for around 900 properties in the Douglas area.

Price of electricity to rise but rates remain lower than UK

Manx Utilities has announced a two-stage increase of the Island’s electricity prices.

Water Main replacement – Sandygate to Jurby Coast Road

Manx Utilities is upgrading the water main from Sandygate to Jurby Coast Road to strengthen water supplies to the area to support economic growth for Jurby and deliver essential fire-fighting needs of the IOM Fire & Rescue Service. The work is due to commence on 6 February 2023 and completed in August 2023.

Bin it – Don’t Flush it!

Manx Utilities is asking residents and businesses to consider the effects waste products such as wet wipes and sanitary products (known as ‘rag’) have on the environment and also critical infrastructure, if disposed of incorrectly.

Update on the Smart Meter Rollout

Manx Utilities has now installed over 2,500 smart meters as the process of upgrading its domestic metering infrastructure to smart meters continues across the Island.
