Comfy Heat is a two-rate tariff that is available to domestic customers using electricity as the primary source of heating for their property.

There are a number of contractors on the Island who provide design advice, these can be found in the Yellow Pages.

We are not permitted to recommend any contractor but do suggest that they are approved members of the NICEIC, the ECA or IOM Government Approved.

Comfy Heat Tariff includes two categories, DT (Electric heating) and DT1 (Heat pump). The Tariff is a two-rate tariff and is subject to Direct Debit payments only. It is available to Domestic customers using electric heating and water heating up to 15kW single-phase or up to 48kW for 3-phase. The tariff is available to domestic customers where the source of heating and water heating at the property is electricity.

If any part of the property is heated by oil, gas or a hybrid heat pump system then the property will not qualify for the tariff.

The electric vehicle charging tariff is available to domestic customers who wish to charge their own electric vehicle for their personal use.

The electric vehicle charging tariff will be effective from the date we install the metering equipment. Your quarterly bill will consist of units consumed from your meter at the standard domestic tariff rate and units consumed at the off-peak electric vehicle charging rate.

Once the meter is installed we maintain the right to monitor your supply for fair usage and continued eligibility for the electric vehicle tariff however you are responsible to ensure that your electricity supply switches at the appropriate time by carrying out regular checks of the switching times of the meter.  If you have any concerns you should contact our customer service team immediately on 687675

Domestic customers are eligible for the electric vehicle charging tariff subject to meeting the criteria. Not all customers premises may be suitable for the installation of an electric vehicle meter. This may be due to the proximity of the electric vehicle parking arrangements or the existing electricity supply to the property.

We reserve the right to revert your supply to a standard tariff should you no longer meet the criteria or fall outside the fair usage criteria
