How tall is a wind turbine?

The height of the turbines will depend on the manufacturer and model of wind turbine we select following completion of our technical studies to determine the optimal wind turbine for the site.

There are two turbine heights which are being considered for the scheme:

• A four turbine design with turbines up to 150m
• A three turbine design with turbines up to 185m

The following graphic shows the illustrative layout of these two design scenarios at the site, alongside the heights of the turbines.

The hub, which is the casing in the centre of the blades which supports the motor, will be at a similar height as the stack at Pulrose power station including the spire.
